Actually, so many words. Where do I even begin?

Well, I'm finally here!!

The airport in Rapid City has one terminal. And one baggage carousel. (See picture below).
Also... I found out that there are fellow JEWS in this state, as evidenced by the Gefilte Fish and Manischewitz at the grocery store!! (See other picture below). According to a fellow park ranger, there is one synagogue in Rapid City--which is sometimes a synagogue, and sometimes a senior center.

 

Also, my park ranger friend (who picked me up at the airport all decked out in his park ranger uniform), told me I could probably choose my RANGER HAT... I AM SO EXCITED!

We also drove by Mt. Rushmore today... it's smaller than I thought it would be. And the faces aren't as defined as you'd think. You kind of have to squint and ask, "Oh wait, are those the faces??"

My apartment is nice... although I forgot to bring a blanket.... and a pillow... oops.... although I did bring sheets! AND THE BEST PART IS.... THERE IS A TELEVISION PROVIDED IN THE ROOM! WITH CABLE! And my iPhone functions as an internet router and hence, I can continue to provide you with updates about my life in the Mount Rushmore State.

First day of work tomorrow!
