The Lone Ranger

From now on, I ask that you only refer to me as "Ranger Jacob."

Work today was good... although someone pooped on the Presidential Trail... I really don't understand people.  (The Presidential Trail is this half-mile trail that takes you to the base of Mt. Rushmore.) There was also a huge group of police officers and a troupe from a military base that got guided tours today... now if only a firefighter convention could come here!

Some woman also asked me if any more faces will be added to Mt. Rushmore; I told her they are, in fact, considering a fifth face and are currently debating between Dolly Parton & Maya Angelou. (Actually, because I'm a park ranger now and I know all these cool facts about Mt. Rushmore, I know that another face will NEVER be added to the mountain.  The faces were all carved on that particular portion of the mountain because granite existed there, and granite is carve-able.  The rock on either side of Washington and Lincoln is mica, which is not carve-able.  In fact, they tried to carve the torsos of the presidents but could not, because they couldn't cut into the mica.)

Oh yea, and it snowed today. Happy almost summer!
